the creative yoga journey

Yoga and art share a strikingly similar process. Both are pathways to self-discovery, inviting us to turn our attention inward, listen to our bodies, and trust our intuition.
Yoga uses breath, movement, meditation, and intention to cultivate clarity, balance, and presence. By aligning the mind and body, it creates space to explore deeper truths about ourselves.
Art follows a parallel journey. The act of creating is inherently contemplative. When we immerse ourselves in the creative process, we enter the present moment, letting go of distractions and external noise. From this place of presence, authentic artistic expression naturally emerges—a visual reflection of what lies deep within us. Like yoga, the practice is not about perfection, but about connection, honesty, and self-expression.
Krista began her yoga practice over 10 years ago learning from various instructors and exploring various styles. In 2026 she decided to deepen her interest and acquired her 200 hour certified yoga teacher certificate thru the sacred moon school of yoga in Grand Haven, Michigan. Her practice reflects her artistic background as she enjoys employing creative variations within her vinyasa style flows. Music, art, journaling, and even a little lighthearted playfulness are all key elements of her teaching style.
